Care With Heart and History

With Dr Natasha Andreadis, Newtown Fertility Centre, Edgeware Rd.

Some businesses feel like they are simply in a place. Others feel stitched into it. Newtown Fertility Centre is the latter. For Dr Natasha Andreadis, founding the clinic was not just a professional milestone. It was a personal one too.

In 2024, Dr Tash, as her patients fondly know her, opened the doors to a practice she had long imagined. Located on Edgeware Road, it is just around the corner from where her parents first met in 1968 and near where her mother found her first job in Australia. “As a child of Greek migrants, creating this space has been a homage to them and their fierce work ethic,” she says.

After practising at the RPAH Medical Centre for several years, the move to Newtown felt like coming home. “Newtown has always been my favourite suburb in Sydney,” she says. “I love the location, the community, and the spirit of the place.”

That spirit shapes everything at Newtown Fertility Centre. It is a clinic built on inclusivity, openness and warmth. “We are proud allies of the LGBTQI community and love helping create Rainbow Families.” Dr Tash says.

“Regardless of your background, you are welcome here.”

Community is at the heart of her work. Alongside her medical practice, Dr Tash runs a monthly book club supported by Better Read Than Dead and a singing group called Birth a Song, offering spaces for connection and support outside the clinic walls.

Newtown’s hidden corners are some of her favourite places to recharge. Walks through Camperdown Park, visits to the historic cemetery at St Joseph’s Church, and coffee stops at Wolf and Honeybee or White Rabbit are small but meaningful rituals.

When it comes to fertility care, Dr Tash’s message is simple. “You are in control. My job is to provide options, to hold your hand through the journey, and to make sure you feel heard, safe and cared for.”

Newtown Fertility Centre reflects the suburb it calls home, welcoming, heartfelt, courageous and proud to stay true to itself.
