For more than 30 years, the Older Women’s Network NSW (OWN NSW) has championed the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of older women. Today, it’s tackling one of the most overlooked workforce challenges: the barriers older women face when re-entering employment.
In response, OWN NSW has launched the Pathways to Employment Program — a free, personalised service supporting women over 50 in NSW to reconnect with meaningful work. Through tailored one-on-one assistance in resume development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and confidence-building, the program prepares participants to step back into the workforce with readiness and resilience.
Early success stories have already demonstrated the value of this approach: women finding renewed purpose through employment, and businesses discovering dedicated team members who are committed to work.
