With support from the City of Sydney, our precinct map is entering its final stages. Designed and led by Lachlan Bruce of Good Decisions, the new interactive map highlights key business areas—King St North, King St South, Enmore Rd, Erskineville Rd, and Australia St—and will appear both digitally and in high-traffic locations like Newtown Station.

This is more than a map—it’s part of a broader campaign to boost visibility for our business community, with a fresh brand identity, digital storytelling, social media rollout and signage upgrades on the horizon.

Women In Business Programme

The Inner West Council is committed to fostering a thriving environment for women in business through its dedicated Women In Business Programme. This initiative aims to support female entrepreneurs by providing access to resources, networking opportunities, and mentorship. By hosting workshops, seminars, and community events, the council empowers women to develop their skills, share their experiences, and elevate their businesses. The programme not only highlights the contributions of women in the local economy but also promotes gender equality and encourages a vibrant, diverse business landscape within the community.

We’re thrilled to share the success of our first Precinct Map Consultation Session, hosted by the Newtown Enmore Business Chamber (NEBC) with support from the City of Sydney. Together with local design professionals Good Decisions, we’re working on creating a district map—both in print and digital—designed to celebrate and represent the unique character of our vibrant neighborhoods.

2024/25 Committee positions - Now Open

The Precinct Satellites actively engage in shaping the future direction of their distinct precincts by representing their locale at the general meetings and advance the Committee's key initiatives together with their neighbours.

As part of our ongoing commitment to advocacy and transparent governance, we have compiled the feedback gathered from the recent post-it note activity during our launch event. This input reflects the concerns and suggestions from our members, and we are dedicated to addressing these as we move forward.

From historical narratives to contemporary influences, the exhibition offers a dynamic insight into the evolving landscape of our local urban identity.

Council is committed to creating a community where everyone feels safe and well-connected, that's why we are developing a Community Safety Action Plan.

The past years have tested our community in unprecedented ways, but as we stand on the threshold of recovery, NEBC represents a beacon of renewal.
